Arizona, New Mexico and Texas Images
I thought this was interesting. Pine trees for sale? Move to the northwest if you want pine trees.
Downtown Anthony, NM/TX
La Tuna Federal Correctional Institute (called La Tuna Tech locally)
Beauty Shop or Anthony Texas Police Department? It is "closed" whatever it is.
The "yucca flower" is the state flower of New Mexico.
The Mike Coles residence in Anthony, NM.
A typical adobe home along NM state road 478.
A hill full of ocotillos along I-10 heading East
The Thing? On I-10. I went in and bought something but I did not pay the extra $1. to see the Thing.
A beautiful scene in near San Simon, AZ
While in Anthony, Texas, I did not find one Texan proud of George W. At least, not in my circles.
No, do not!
At thermometer in the Jauregui's backyard in Glendale, AZ at 5PM.
The road to Antelope Wells, New Mexico on the border with Mexico. The beginning of the Continental Divide in the United States.

Artesia, New Mexico, the Oil Fields and surrounding area....these images and comments are in no particular order.
Dexter, NM on Route 2
Hagerman, NM on Route 2
Pump Jack in the Oil Fields of Southeastern New Mexico
A Horned Lizard commonly called a "horny toad" although it is not an amphibian. It is a distinctly shaped lizard which resembled a toad. This "horny toad" was captured and released but not before being named "Horny". He was adopted by Richard "Hal" Halbrook of Eugene, OR.
Koenders Windmills installed by "Going South Environmental, Inc" on the Artesia Country Club Golf Course.
The Prickly Pear in Artesia, NM.
Entering Artesia from Roswell highway. The Navajo Refinery is in the backgroud. I was told I could be "thrown in jail" for taking this photograph. Lucky they didn't catch me!
"CJ" Carter riding his "hog". Happy man!
Gwenivere, the Queen of her pickup.
Roxy, the Queen of her pickup.
The Red Yucca blooms in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Artesia.
A Black Widow spider found on the Harrell Wilson compound.

Artesia, NM to Anthony, NM (Backtrack)
Road kill, either a deer or a cow, attracted these beautiful turkey vultures. I paused a few minutes, hoping they would return to the carcass but they all but disappeared while I was parked nearby. I did photograph the dead body but I will not show it. Guts hanging out and all.
Near Cloudcroft, NM
Ahhh, this was a sweet drive. Instead of taking the southern route, retracing my steps back to El Paso/Anthony, I took a more direct route through Hope, NM and Cloudcroft, NM. What a beautiful drive.
Along the way, I took a few photographs.
The cloud on the left (of viewer) turned into the large thunder cloud over the Organ Mountains between Alamogordo, NM and Las Cruces, NM. The image of the Organs was photographed during a failed attempt to gain entrance to White Sands Missile Range. I was not military plus I had no contact on the Post, therefore no entrance.
A "Tumble Bug" doing it's thing.
Anthony to Glendale (BackTrack)
Guess who did not want to pose for this one?...
The Jauregui Family, David, Kelli, Madison, Andrew and Kyle July 2008
The Ocotillo (Fouquieria splendens) The ocotillo can be found growing across the Southwest, sprouting clusters of gorgeous scarlet flowers. The ocotillos shown are past blooming for the season.
