Artesia, NM to Anthony, NM (Backtrack)
Road kill, either a deer or a cow, attracted these beautiful turkey vultures. I paused a few minutes, hoping they would return to the carcass but they all but disappeared while I was parked nearby. I did photograph the dead body but I will not show it. Guts hanging out and all.
Near Cloudcroft, NM
Ahhh, this was a sweet drive. Instead of taking the southern route, retracing my steps back to El Paso/Anthony, I took a more direct route through Hope, NM and Cloudcroft, NM. What a beautiful drive.
Along the way, I took a few photographs.
The cloud on the left (of viewer) turned into the large thunder cloud over the Organ Mountains between Alamogordo, NM and Las Cruces, NM. The image of the Organs was photographed during a failed attempt to gain entrance to White Sands Missile Range. I was not military plus I had no contact on the Post, therefore no entrance.
A "Tumble Bug" doing it's thing.
